Maria Yvonne, is the wife of Apostle Ellis L. Smith and in May, 1981, together they founded the ministry of Faith Christian Fellowship, now known as Jubilee City Church. They have worked closely with Metro Detroit churches and the community of the Eastside of Detroit for well over forty years. As of March 2018, the ministry relocated to Westland, MI., where she serves as a staff Pastor.

She has a heart for the Body of Christ and women & children in particular. She loves to spend her time mentoring and discipling those who are new in the faith, and as a result has a multiplicity of sons and daughters all over the United States. She has spearheaded the Family Life Ministries at Jubilee City Church for many years and now oversees the Women, Childrenʼs and Music Ministry.

She has travelled evangelistically, teaching and preaching God's Word as well as ushering in the presence of God through prophetic worship.

Maria is the mother of four beautiful adult children and their spouses who are all very passionate for God and work in the ministry & community, additionally, she and Ellis are blessed with fifteen grandchildren!

She is very intent on quality family life and spends lots of available time with her children and grandchildren. For leisure, she loves painting, crafting, drawing, music, crocheting, baking, swimming, reading, theater, pinning and writing to encourage others.

She is a graduate of Detroit Public Schools. Additionally, she attended Rhema Bible Training Center, William Tyndale Bible College and Cornerstone University. Maria holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and is certified in Grief Counseling and Character Genetics Training. She resides in Canton, MI with Ellis, her husband of 49 years.


John Rainey is a committed disciple and advocate for the Kingdom of Heaven. He was born again as a child in 1973 at the age of nine and has been walking with the Lord all his life.

John is the owner of Kingdom Marketing Solutions, Inc., a graphic design and website development company that he founded in 1994 serving churches, ministries and small businesses around the U.S.

In 2001, John founded his ministry, Heaven Culture, as a YouTube channel where he teaches believers how to think, talk and act like Citizens of Heaven. This channel has grown from 10 subscribers to over 9,000 in one year with subscribers all around the world.

John has been married to Doria Rainey since 1984, together they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.


Anyone who knows Doria Rainey knows that she is a true servant. Always working and contributing, she serves this local assembly as a part of the Leadership Team, the Finance Team, the Media Team and the J.E.W.E.L.S. Team.

She graduated from The Embassy Training Center in 2021 completing both the Leadership Training Institute as well as the Ministerial Life Track, and is a licensed minister.

But if you want to get to know Doria as a person, you’ll find that she is adventurous and loves to travel with family and friends to new and exciting destinations. She also loves technology and is a problem solver. Doria’s grace is to bring practical wisdom to everyday situations.

Doria has been married to John Rainey since 1984 and together they have three children and three grandchildren. Doria is also a caregiver, caring for her elderly mother and has successfully navigated the intricacies of elder care and is currently planning to write a book about her experience to help others through the challenges of caring for elderly parents and relatives.


Shari serves as Administrator of Jubilee City Church. She and her husband Arthur have been in ministry for over 40 years working with youth, missions, communications, and planted a church in southwest Detroit, Metropolitan World Outreach Center, along with a large children's organization, Good News Gang Metro. She is also the Vice President and administrator for Bridge Networks and oversees the Embassy: A Kingdom Ministry Training Center both in the US and in Guatemala. Shari holds a B.A. degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University.

Arthur and Shari have been married 40 years and have two adult children, Paul (Elizabeth), and Jessica (Timothy John) and 6 grandchildren.
