Now that we understand what Heaven requires in terms of repentance and unconditional surrender, it is important to also realize that we are inundated on a daily basis with ideologies that oppose Heaven. In fact most believers commonly hold some ideologies that are antithetical to Kingdom. But if we hold thoughts and beliefs that oppose God then, although our spirit is born again, our soul is admittedly still at war with the Kingdom of Heaven. But any true child of God does not desire to live at odds with his or her home country. But in order to come into alignment with the Government of Heaven we must change the way that we think.
Now this may not be as easy as it sounds. In fact, the most difficult change to make is many times a change in the way we think. This is why old habits can be so difficult to break. Our old programming, pet thoughts, beliefs, bents and iniquities have been with us for many years. It is the programming of the World System apart from God that we have been trained in for decades. Even after the new birth we continued to be trained in the ideologies of the world every time we turned on the television, listened to a secular song, went on the internet or watched the news. Worldly ideologies are pervasive, from the clothing that women wear to the sports that men watch. No area of our present culture is exempt from the influence of the World System.
Actually the Germans have a name for it. They call it “Zeitgeist” and it means the “Spirit of the Age” which refers to all the floating mass of thoughts, opinions, maxims, speculations, hopes, impulses, aims, aspirations, at any time current in the world, which constitutes a most real and effective power, being the moral or immoral atmosphere which at every moment of our lives we inhale, again inevitably to exhale [from Wuest Word Studies in the Greek New Testament]. So the Kosmos World System that we live in has its own culture and ideology that quite obviously opposes God.
The problem is that as a Christian who has renounced the Kingdom of Darkness, it is now my obligation to submit to God and reprogram my mind to think like Heaven. But this is only accomplished by the renewing or reprogramming of the mind through meditating and studying the Word of God. But this reprogramming does not happen as we casually read the word, but rather as we spend time with the word by chewing on it over and over through the process of meditation. As we meditate on God’s word our internal programming and beliefs begin to change as they are re-written, so that we begin to gradually think like Heaven. Therefore in order for you and I to overcome worldly ideologies that oppose Heaven we must commit to this mind renewal process.
YOUR MIND IS THE KEY
Did you know that your mind is the key to your success or failure in the Kingdom? To the degree that your mind is renewed or reprogrammed and focused or set on spiritual things is the degree of success you will have. But the opposite is also true. To the degree that your mind is set or focused on carnal things is the degree of your failure in the things of God. So ultimately it is not God who determines your success or failure in accomplishing your purpose and destiny, rather it’s you. May we ask God to help us to set our minds on the things of the Spirit.
Romans 8:5-8 ESV
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. (6) For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. (7) For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. (8) Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
1 Corinthians 2:12-14 ESV
(12) Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. (13) And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. (14) The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
Philippians 3:15-19 ESV
(15) Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. (16) Only let us hold true to what we have attained. (17) Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those
who walk according to the example you have in us. (18) For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. (19) Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.
MEDITATION PRODUCES TRANSFORMATION
Many Christians around this time of year commit to read through the Bible, which is an awesome and worthwhile goal. But did you know that God never instructs us to merely read His Word? While reading the Bible is essential, God instructs us to study and meditate it. Therefore meditation of the word is far more valuable and fruitful than merely reading the Word. You see, when you read the word, you are at the surface level. But how many know that if you want to find gold you must go beneath the surface? Or to use another analogy if you want revelation and you want to progress in the Kingdom you must go to the cow. Every animal that God created has unique properties that teach us hidden spiritual lessons. Well God designated the cow to teach us the principle of meditation.

Psalms 1:1-3 ESV
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; (2) but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. (3) He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
Joshua 1:7-8 ESV
Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. (8) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and
night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Psalms 119:14-23 ESV
In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches. (15) I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways. (16) I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word. (17) Deal bountifully with your servant, that I may live and keep your word. (18) Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law. (19) I am a sojourner on the earth; hide not your commandments from me! (20) My soul is consumed with longing for your rules at all times. (21) You rebuke the insolent, accursed ones, who wander from your commandments. (22) Take away from me scorn and contempt, for I have kept your testimonies. (23) Even though princes sit plotting against me, your servant will meditate on your statutes.
ASSIMILATION TO THE KINGDOM
It has always been understood that when a person seeks to become a citizen of a different country than where they were born, that the new citizen would assimilate to the new country, by learning their language, customs, culture and history. In so doing the immigrant would begin to adapt to the new community that they have joined.
However in modern times, the concept of “assimilation” has fallen out of favor with certain globalist types who believe in border-less societies. This ideology would allow immigrants to enter a country without legal requirements and see no problem with the negative consequences of how mass immigration will fundamentally change the culture of the country into which the immigrants are flocking. But mass immigration without assimilation defies common sense. For example, in the case of the United States of America, half the world’s population would immigrate here if they were able to. But why are millions of people trying to enter the United States? Very simply, because they don’t like what is going on in their countries, so much so that they will risk life and limb, many times taking perilous journeys where they put themselves and their children at great risk to all types of dangers, all for an opportunity to live in the greatest country on Earth. But for those immigrants who enter legally and are naturalized to become U.S. citizens, shouldn’t they also be required to assimilate into American society?
assimilate:
(1) to take in and incorporate as one’s own; absorb; (2) to bring into conformity with the customs, attitudes, etc., of a group, nation, or the like; adapt or adjust [dictionary.com]
Assimilation, in anthropology and sociology is, the process whereby individuals or groups of differing ethnic heritage are absorbed into the dominant culture of a society. The process of assimilating involves taking on the traits of the dominant culture to such a degree that the assimilating group becomes socially indistinguishable from other members of the society. [Encyclopedia Britannica]
Therefore a naturalized citizen’s success in their new country is largely determined by their ability to assimilate to the culture and language. For example, the person who comes to America but refuses to learn English will largely be locked out of broad participation in the economy and culture. Similarly every citizen of Heaven is expected and required to Assimilate to their new home country. Heaven considers it unacceptable to be a naturalized citizen that fails to assimilate. Heaven expects us to assimilate to its culture, language and thought process. Failure to assimilate to Heaven’s Culture means that the believer will be locked out and unable to experience the Promises & Blessings of God.
Philippians 3:20-21 ESV
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
Matthew 6:9-10 ESV
Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. (10) Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:31-33 TPT
“So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ (32) For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require? (33) “So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.
Ephesians 2:11-17 TPT
(11-12) So don’t forget that you were not born as Jews and were uncircumcised (circumcision itself is just a work of man’s hands); you had none of the Jewish covenants and laws; you were foreigners to Israel’s incredible heritage; you were without the covenants and prophetic promises of the Messiah, the promised hope, and without God. (13) Yet look at you now! Everything is new! Although you were once distant and far away from God, now you have been brought delightfully close to him through the sacred blood of Jesus—you have actually been united to Christ! (14) Our reconciling “Peace” is Jesus! He has made Jew and non-Jew one in Christ. By dying as our sacrifice, he has broken down every wall of prejudice that separated us and has now made us equal through our union with Christ. (15) Ethnic hatred has been dissolved by the crucifixion of his precious body on the cross. The legal code that stood condemning every one of us has now been repealed by his command. His triune essence has made peace between us by starting over—forming one new race of humanity, Jews and non Jews fused together! (16) Two have now become one, and we live restored to God and reconciled in the body of Christ. Through his crucifixion, hatred died. (17) For the Messiah has come to preach this sweet message of peace to you, the ones who were distant, and to those who are near.
